He wrote a double-act with Tony Slattery and contributed to the topical BBC radio show Weekending. He co-wrote and performed in the BBC Radio 2 sketch show 'The Hot Club' with Arthur Smith, Josie Lawrence and Ronnie Golden. Richard contributed sketches to Smack The Pony on Channel 4 and to the 2023 series of the award-winning BBC Radio 4 series The Skewer. He wrote corporate films for the Moving Picture Company and Pukka Films and a feature-length screenplay about a stand-up comedian whose manager is the Devil:
